The link between wealth and health is complex, but access and opportunity are key. New research produced by the Tampa Bay Partnership and Florida Blue Foundation benchmarks differences faced by University Area (Uptown) residents that are in stark contrast to outcomes for residents in Tampa, and the Tampa Bay region.

Making the Economic Case for Resilience in Tampa Bay
April 2022
A research report conducted by the Tampa Bay Partnership, with funding support from JPMorgan Chase & Co., this study explores: the economic consequences of flooding and the augmentation of those consequences due to rising sea levels; the economic benefits of adaptation as a function of risk reduction and avoided economic losses and the opportunities associated with resilience investments; and strategies to advance economic resilience.
UpSkill Tampa Bay: Opportunities for Upskilling and Career Transition
September 2021
A recent research report conducted by the Tampa Bay Partnership, with funding support from JPMorgan Chase & Co., shows a high degree of potential for COVID-impacted workers to put their skills to work in higher opportunity careers. By applying their existing skills in new occupational settings and acquiring additional specialized skills, workers can gain access to higher-paying jobs with greater opportunities for mobility. At the same time, employers can access a larger, more diverse talent pool by removing degree and experience requirements and hiring for skills and potential.

As part of the State of the Region initiative, the Tampa Bay Partnership, in collaboration with Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, United Way Suncoast and USF Muma College of Business, issued a series of scientific polls to reveal the sentiments of Tampa Bay residents about their post-pandemic future.

Interstate 275 Public Opinion Survey

The Tampa Bay Partnership contracted with Florida Opinion Research to conduct a scientific survey of adult residents in Hillsborough County, assessing their perceptions and opinions of I-275 north of downtown Tampa.
Tampa Bay Works: An Employer-Led Regional Workforce Initiative

Led by TIP Strategies, the Partnership’s Regional Talent Working Group created an action plan for an employer-led, demand-driven regional workforce initiative to address key weaknesses in Tampa Bay’s talent pipeline.
